About Keith
Keith Anderson is pastor at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church near Philadelphia and co-author with Elizabeth Drescher of Click2Save: The Digital Ministry Bible (Morehouse 2012). A popular blogger on religion, new media, and popular culture at pastorkeithanderson.net, he employs a wide range of social media to minister on and offline. Pastor Anderson speaks regularly with local and national church groups, synods, and other organizations on the practice of digital ministry and the impact of digital culture on face-to-face ministry. He has taught at Andover-Newton Theological School and The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He received pastoral training at Harvard University Divinity School and The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
Keith graduated with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from High Point University (NC) in 1996. He attended Harvard Divinity School where he earned his Master of Divinity degree in 2000, and The Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where he earned a Master of Sacred Theology degree in Lutheran Studies in 2002. He served as pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Woburn, Massachusetts from 2003 to 2012.
During his preparation for the ordained ministry, Keith served at The Memorial Church at Harvard University, St. Francis House Homeless Shelter in Boston, and The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Lutheran Children and Family Service in Philadelphia.
Keith spent his summer 2008 sabbatical on contemplative spirituality with an emphasis on the spirituality of daily life. He is married to Jennifer, also an HDS graduate. They have four children and a golden retreiver named Charlie.
